Whitney Houston‘s hit song “I Will Always Love You” provided the soundtrack for her own godson’s arrest in Alpharetta Wednesday night, a newly released dash cam video shows.
Nick Gordon, 23, was charged with reckless driving and speeding after police said laser clocked him driving 82 mph in a 35 mph zone on North Point Parkway.
The video, obtained by Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik, shows the officer asking Gordon why he was in a hurry.
“There’s no hurry,” he’s heard telling the arresting officer.
In the background, Houston’s blockbuster ballad from the movie “The Bodyguard” can be heard blaring from Gordon’s Chevy Camaro.
“Jamming to Whitney Houston,” the arrest officer noted as he placed the cuffs on Gordon, who is also the on-again off-again love interest of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s biological daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Gordon’s arrest came just hours after police say Bobbi Kristina Brown crashed her own car just a few miles away. Police said Brown lost control of her Chevy Camaro and drove down an embankment on Beaver Creek Road. She was cited for failure to maintain lane. Police don’t believe drugs or alcohol played a role in either crash.
Gordon told Petchenik Thursday he denies driving that fast.
“Sometimes things like that happen,” he said. “Everything’s cool. Everything’s fine.”
Police aren’t laughing about the speeding arrest.
He looks like a lame, Bobbi Kristina is a lame, they grew up in the shadows of adults leading reckless lives so what should society and/or the media expect? I’m tired of hearing about the two can we talk about real issues in this country?
